Working on post-earthquake Haiti

I spent three months working for Internews in Haiti just after the January 12th, 2010 earthquake and it was a tough experience.

Indeed, coming back to Haiti right after this earthquake was a bit disturbing and the challenge to recover radio stations was huge.  I was involved in Enfomasyon Nou Dwe Konnen (ENDK – News You Can Use) that was a humanitarian radio program which ensures the programming meets information needs in real time.  I supported local radio stations in providing technical supports and I designed a Direct Courant radio station prototype working on renewable energy.  Internews was more focused on content creation than technical innovation, and I had not enough support to test my prototype properly.
