Solidays is the biggest music festival in France and take place at the Longchamp Racecourse, a 57 hectare horse-racing facility, located on the banks of the Seine River in Paris. The event brings together more than 150 artists and 170,000 festival-goers for three days. The proceeds from the festival are donated to organizations fighting against AIDS, especially for those focusing on the African continent.
I worked with a technical team in designing, implementing, securing and following-up two networks to properly run the festival. The first network was the wifi set up to provide Internet connection to professionals and the second one was a long-distance wireless network to manage digital access for festival-goers.
We had an amazing truck remembering me Africa with a V-Sat on the roof to move on the racecourse and bring equipment. We used Aroba network devices to build the wifi network and Motorola equipment for the long-distance wireless network. Our networks worked without any troubles, delivered Internet properly and managed entries for the 170,000 festival-goers.
